The Russian-Belarusian Venture Capital Fund will finance four projects, the press service of the State Committee for Science and Technology of Belarus (SCST) reported on Friday following the results of the first meeting of the fund’s investment committee in Moscow.
“According to the results of the first meeting of the investment committee of the Russian-Belarusian Venture Investment Fund in Moscow, four projects were selected for further elaboration of the conditions for their financing,” the SCST informed.
They clarified that the investment is planned to be sent to developments in the field of healthcare and medicine using of IT-technologies.
As recalled in the press service, RVC, Infrafund RVC and the Belarusian Innovation Fund in December 2016 announced the creation of a joint venture fund “RBF Ventures”. The target size of the fund is 1.4 billion Rus. rubles with the possibility of further increase by the decision of investors. The Investment Committee of the Russian-Belarusian Venture Capital Fund on behalf of the Belarusian side includes the Director of the Belarusian Innovation Fund Dmitry Kalinin, from the Russian side – the director of Infrafund RKC Evgeny Kuznetsov. To the Supervisory Board of the Foundation – Chairman of the State Committee for Science and Technology of Belarus Alexander Shumilin and Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Oleg Fomichev.
